I’m Ian Ravenscroft, a freelance producer, mentor, and consultant across creative, digital, animated, and immersive projects.

I work with arts, media, and cultural organisations to help bring great ideas to life. I lead projects or provide support, often where digital technology meets creativity. To work with me, just say hey: ian@heygreenraven.co.uk

Recent projects include producing Innovate:Create and Positive Realities for Create Central, being an advisor on Bloomberg’s Digital Accelerator Programme for Arts Council England, producing virtual reality narrative Wasted: Into The Microverse with Second Home Studios for StoryFutures Academy, mentoring on BBC Arts’ New Creatives scheme, co-creating the Royal Television Society award-nominated Cardbot, and providing digital consultancy for The Space.

My Experience

Early in my career I moved from journalism to digital, spending time as a producer at agencies in the arts and culture sectors. Alongside this I wrote and produced animation projects with Dice Productions commissioned by UK Film Council, Channel 4, and Nickelodeon, winning festival awards including London Short Film Festival, and nominations at RTS Midlands and the British Animation Awards.

My interests in digital, creativity, and storytelling converged when I joined the BBC Digital Guerrillas digital content innovation team in 2015, working on projects such as Jim’s Celeb Blender, Thirteen #findthegirl, and My Mental Health In VR. I then moved on to BBC Three where I helped establish their shortform content hub at BBC Birmingham.

Going freelance in 2019, I have since worked with The Space, Create Central, Arts Council England, Coventry City of Culture, Second Home Studios, and Citypress on a range of creative projects as a senior producer, mentor, advisor, and consultant… with a dash of scriptwriting thrown in for good measure.
